In the period from 21 to 24 January in the beautiful tourist town of Varshets, Montana region held a 4-day cross-border camp “I am young and active” with participants in the “Program for active inclusion of citizenship and leadership development” project № CB007. 2.22.053 “Youth Leadership Network” of the Association “New Way” and the Serbian organization “Voice of Vranje”.

At the camp, 40 young people from Bulgaria and Serbia presented their developed projects on local community issues, which they identified in the form of a presentation. The online presence of young people from Serbia has limited opportunities for active participation. The goal of the camp was achieved by online incubation of ideas and discussion of opportunities for active involvement in public life of both countries, funding opportunities for projects in both countries, training to use the developed platform for job search and internships on both sides. In addition, the Bulgarian youth managed to involve young people from Serbia through the developed quizzes, games, karaoke night and the virtual tour of Varshets, and agreed on new joint initiatives.
